CONSTRUCTION WORK
Construction work usually commences as soon as FBRDC secures the Developmeent Permit for the project from the local government, and the Certificate of Registration and License to Sell wich are granted by the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board(HLURB).
COST EFFECIENCY
For cost effeciency, the construction of housing units is done in batches of 20 to 40 housing units, which takes about a month to complete. Labor is provided by independent contractors who are chosen on the basis of their track record with FBRDC, and thus have the experience and the commitment to uphold FBRDC's standards on quality, speed and cleanliness. These contractors are monitored and supervised by FBRDC's field engineers and foreman, who are always present in the project site.
MATERIALS PURCHASE
The magnitude of FBRDC's projects and operations has placed the Company in a position where it can command the most favorable terms and condition from suppliers of construction materials.
Moreover, FBRDC conduct a periodic canvass of the prices of construction material from at least three supplier, before any purchase is confirmed, to ensure that the best terms and the lowest prices are obtained. To keep the materials inventory level at the acceptable minimum, the delivery of materials to the project site is programmed in such a way that only the materials and suplies needed for a certain period of time are procured and kept as inventory. In some project, FBRDC maintains its own facility for manufacturing hollow blocks and solid blocks.
